Friday Challenges Begin

Dear Third Graders,

     I was very impressed with how well you worked today to complete the paper chain challenge!  Every group was successful!

      The challenge... using only the materials I gave each team of three

•  one 12X18 piece of construction paper
• 4 feet of tape  
• 1 pair of scissors

     Each team had 2 minutes to plan and 12 minutes to create the LONGEST paper chain possible.  It was important to work together and use our materials wisely....

    I am still stunned how LONG all the chains were. Here are some action shots... I can't wait to see what you do this coming Friday!

     You also did an awesome job with our first day of rounding! We worked on rounding to the nearest 10.  We learned this fun song: We Will Round You (click the words to check it out).  We also played a game with our math buddy to practice!
