Fire Safety

Dear Third Graders,

Have you gone over your exit plans in case of a fire?  Most of us know our house number and street address.  There were a handful of friends that do not know one phone number for a parent. Keep practicing this!

Our local fireman visited and taught us more about fire safety.

There is an open house October 26th at both the Balltown Road and Troy Road Stations!

For our Friday Challenge, we had to work as a team to create a spider web to help decorate our classroom.  All groups were successful.

Bear Hugs,

Smile!

Dear Third Graders,

Dr. DeLuke came to visit us and taught us a lot about having a healthy smile. He talked a lot about the importance of brushing before bed and not eating or drinking anything after.  In addition, one of our October Birthday friends got to dress up as a dentist!

We were prepared for picture day after Dr. DeLuke's visit.

Falling into October!

Dear Third Graders,

October is here and going fast with all these days off and exciting learning in school.  Last week we had two friends with the same birthday!  We enjoyed some yummy treats.

We also had a visit from the Clifton Park Elks Club who gave each third grader their very own dictionaries.  These will stay in their desk and come home at the end of the year. We have been having fun finding the longest word, reading facts about presidents, states, and more!

Bear Hugs,
