Careful Observations

Dear First Graders,

You were real scientists today, looking carefully at the "inside" of the eggs.  We used a technique called candling to get a glimpse inside.  We saw the air sac, veins, embryo (mostly the eye!), and yolk.    Today was egg day 8.  Only 13 more days till hatching day!

Here we are at our science stations on Monday!

We did a lot of singing today at our assembly. We learned about slavery and the underground railroad through the songs that the slaves sang. We also learned some of the sign language used to communicate!

We are one square away from the finish line of our reading incentive!  Keep reading and enjoy the gorgeous weather!

Bear Hugs,
